I was born in London in 1971 though I haven’t lived in the UK since 2010.
I am a mother of two, trilingual teens and now we live in The Alpujarras, Spain (Lanjarón)
I have degrees in Midwifery, Music and Visual Art (first class) and I have trained as a voice coach.
Amongst other things, I’ve worked as a clown in hospitals, a music teacher at the only Buddhist primary school in the UK, an independent midwife, a jet set maternity nurse for high profile families and a professional portrait photographer.
For over 25 years I have led hundreds of workshops and classes in art, writing, singing and all things to do with women’s sexual and reproductive health and rites of passage.
When it comes to my own life path, I’ve made radical choices; home-birthing, free-birthing, home-schooling, unschooling, living in different countries, living in nature, off-grid.
I love to work with groups of people who are ready to engage deeply and creatively.
What else?
I am happiest off screens and in water or barefoot on the earth, singing round a fire, feeling connected with my children and creating beautiful things.
I require a coffee to start my day, I have slight obsession with pomegranates, a long term trust in astrology and a commitment to living a courageous, meaningful life.
I am currently working on several projects: Rubí The Pomegranate Museum, I am currently looking for someone to caretake my land with an aim to moving there in a few years and creating a community garden and sanctuary from digital tech and then there’s my personal and professional creative writing and photography work and family life.
Monday serves to support and give structure to my busy creative life.
If you feel inspired by any of my projects and want to collaborate, donate or share ideas, please send me an email.
