The wave of the future is on the local level. Don’t waste your heart and mind trying to pull down what is already destroying itself. But come into where you’re almost below the radar and reorganize life. We want communities where we live and work and fight for the future.

I am an artist, teacher and community leader.

I run a community garden on my land in Lanjaron, Spain.

I founded AlpuFoto a vibrant community for photographers in the Alpuarras

I host a weekly Community Cafe from my house every Monday morning for locals

I lead regular workshops in writing, photography and cyanotype printing

I am a professional portrait photographer.

I work with women 1:1 and in groups. I love to help women make sense of things using self portrait photography, autobiographical writing and self devised personal rituals in nature.

My Background

Born in London in 1971, I am a mother of two, trilingual children and we live in the Alpujarras in Spain
I have a first class degree in Music and Visual Art and a diploma in Midwifery and I have trained as a voice coach.

Amongst other things, I’ve worked as a clown in hospitals, an independent midwife, a music teacher in a Buddhist primary school, a jet set supernanny for billionaires and a professional photographer.

For over 25 years, I have worked with women and girls from first bleed to post menopause combining my skills in voice and breath work, photography and creative autobiographical writing with my knowledge of women’s sexual and reproductive health and women’s rites of passage.

My special focus of interest have included using voice and breath to connect with the unborn child, using creativity to navigate peri-menopause, reclaiming sexuality and eroticism through connection with nature

Whilst navigating my life’s path I’ve made radical choices; home-birthing, free-birthing, home-schooling, unschooling, living in different countries, living in nature, off-grid.

I often make life changing decisions (often at lightening speed) by listening to my intuition and knowing when it’s time to hold on, when it’s time to jump.

I love to work 1:1 and with groups who are ready to engage deeply and creatively.

My personal journey since 2020 has involved some deep soul searching, passing through perimenopause, the death of my mother, burn out and separation from my children's father.

I came face to face with myself as I struggled during those difficult merciless years, and began truly healing from my co-dependent nature and people pleasing patterns and oh, the endless and often clumsy boundary work!

The most important component of my healing has been the practice of identifying what gives me pleasure and moving towards that. Creating a life that moves me away from my smart phone and towards rest, connection, health and simple beauty.

This daily practice of earthy eroticism has opened my body and mind to a state of grounded joy.

What else?
I am happiest in water or barefoot on the earth, singing round a fire, feeling connected with my children.
I require a coffee to start my day, I have a slight obsession with pomegranates, a long term trust in astrology, a deep love of people and a healthy sense of humour.
